Plandište
It was named after its founder, Count Ferenc Zichy. Its first inhabitants were German families who moved here in 1789 from Grabác, Tózsombolya, Nagyjécsa, Kisjécsa and Kiskomlós. Throughout history, it had several names: from 1918 to 1942 it was called Mariolana, and from 1945 it became Plandište. The Romanians also called it Morminț, which means cemetery, because according to the legend, the armies of Prince Eugene beat the Turkish army here in 1716.
