Rusko Selo

Its medieval name was Oroszi. Its parish was already listed in the papal tithe registration of 1332–1337. It stayed inhabited even at the time of the Turkish occupation. The 1717 treasury census mentions ten inhabited houses. After the chamber estate had been sold, it was owned by the Csekonics, Sina and Zichy families. In 1767 German settlers and in 1776 Hungarian settlers from the surroundings of Szeged moved to its territory.
